I first met Agnes when we were on the Nottingham University UCU committee together and from the very start, it was clear how much her calm sense of justice, the possibility of real change and faith in her fellow comrades drove her. She glowed with a positivity that meant that people found it hard to be fractious around her - even when there were very hard discussions to be had. It’s not easy to comprehend that someone so grounded and real should no longer be here but Agnes, thank you for the amazing example and inspiration you gave to so many people.
